I don't know what it is for me about late September/early October and Southern California, but suffice to say it has become one of my favorite escapes. I get to see family, explore new places, listen to the ocean and watch as many sunsets over the Pacific Ocean as I want. So much to love and apart from traffic, very little to dislike.
This recent trip was divided pretty equally between Redondo Beach and the warm, dry climate of the Palm Desert region, with a shorter trip down to San Diego to see family and a day trip to Los Angeles to work on my cityscaping and street photography. Rather than do a play-by-play of each day and adventure, I'm just going to share the photos below. Hope you enjoy them!
First up is the Palm Desert region and Joshua Tree National Park:
Next are the photos I liked from my day trip to Los Angeles. I tried to work a better mix of people into my shots, but still not getting into anyone's face Bruce Gilden-style. Some of them are more heavily edited than others - most are just cropped and colored.
Last, here are some Redondo Beach sunsets and some others in and around LAX. I have shared many of these on my Instagram account already, and will share the LA ones as I get to them.
Hope you enjoyed these shots; it will probably be awhile till I revisit the region, though I will get other places in the meantime! Up next time is a batch of new photos from Chicago, the Windy City and my favorite city to visit and photograph.
Many of these images are available to purchase through the website if you are so inclined.
